Donated items in re-sellable condition are accepted for our used book sales year-round during the library's open hours. Donations may be brought inside to the Checkout Desk or delivered to the loading dock in the book drop drive-through. Please call the library at 701-355-1480 to notify staff prior to leaving items at the loading dock. Donations are limited to no more than five (5) boxes at a time. Help make the heavy lifting easier for library staff and volunteers by packing donations in boxes of manageable size - nothing heavier than 25 pounds please! 

If you're wondering whether or not we'll accept a certain type of item or have other questions about donating, please call ahead (701-355-1480) prior to bringing items to the library.

Nearly 100% of the items sold in our used book sales are donations from our community. Thank you for your generosity!

Items accepted for the book sale:

• Books (hardcover and paperback)
• Puzzles
• Board Games
• Video Games
• DVDs and Blu-Rays
• CDs
• Audiobooks on CD
• Records/LPs
• Sheet Music

Please do not bring the following as donations for the sale:

• No items that are torn, dirty, or in otherwise poor condition
• No moldy or water-damaged items or items with an odor
• No VHS or cassette tapes
• No textbooks
• No encyclopedias
• No Readers Digest condensed books
• No magazines, newspapers, or journals
• No loose-leaf papers or documents
