Volunteer

There are many ways to get involved and to support the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library by volunteering with Friends of the Library activities!

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Our hugely popular semi-annual used book sales (March & October)
  • Book sorting - We sort and pack items donated for book sales weekly throughout the year
  • Game counting - We assist library staff with the task of maintaining board games between circulations.
  • Special events - our annual Librarypalooza, End of Summer Reading Ice Cream Social, and more
  • Serve on a committee
  • Serve on the board of directors
  • And others!

How do I volunteer?

Notice of opportunities to volunteer is sent out to Friends membership by email each month. We use an online signup system, and the links to sign up are included in the email messages. Watch your email and plan to join us to lend a hand when it works with your schedule!
